What we're using

Kaldi WIDE 300 roaster - Thank you Korea for this bargain drum roaster! Pen, paper, and a BBQ digital thermometer completes the set up. Took me a couple of roasts to figure out that video recording the timer and thermometer leaves me free to monitor the gas, try the beans, and stay on top of the roast.

Recipes:

We enjoy our roasts in a V60, aeropress, and espresso and use a Baratza Sette 270 grinder.

V60: 30g coffee at 12E (medium-fine); 500g water off-boil; 3:30-4 minutes total time

Aeropress: 13.75g coffee 10H (medium-finer); 250g water off-boil; inverted 2 minutes with an additional 30 second press

Espresso: 19g coffee at 4A (espresso fine); 40g total output over 30 seconds
